I’m looking at this footage of me b2b Carl Cox and can’t believe it was a whole 20 years ago 🤯 But who could forget a night like this? Four turntables, boxes and boxes of vinyl, a huge light and sound rig and thousands going crazy in Rotterdam… This was 2004 and Carl had invited me to play his ‘Carl Cox and friends’ party. We’d first met in the mid 90s and become friends; Carl travelled to Detroit, we booked him for Movement and we’d been making music together too (check the track Vibes Of Energy) so going b2b was a natural thing to do 🤝 As you can see we got right into the zone and were feeding off each other’s energy and really collaborating on the set… It was the vinyl days and you had to be extra sharp, especially across four decks and on such a big stage. But those are the moments you live for as a DJ and as you can see from the last photo, we’re still throwing down together to this day!
