To commemorate the Polish independence Day of November 11 1918, I have constructed this panel in honor of this significant event. This event coincides with the end of World War 1, and well as Poland regaining its status as a free country after 123 years of occupation by neighboring nations.

The Eagle you see is the abstract interpretation of the Polish White Eagle Emblem. For me, it is symbolizing freedom, stability, security, dependability, protection, courage, accuracy, fairness, and progress among other feelings that I get from looking at it. What do you feel when seeing it?

The panel was finished in around 200 hours in 2024. Made from comb faced facia timber, using tools such as routers, a table saw, a hand saw and others. I credit my late father that has taught me how to use such tools many years ago, because without these skills it would not be possible.

It spans 71" wide and 64" tall, or 180.34 cm and 162.56 cm respectively.

As a dual citizen of Poland, living abroad since childhood, I felt the overwhelming passion to symbolize my love and respect for the nation that is Poland.

I watched as my family and I were fleeing the weakening grasp of a then communist government of 1989, as we ventured out to find freedom from tyranny elsewhere.

I stand proud to witness what Poland has turned into over the last several decades, but we must never forget where we are from.

To all those living around the world, I welcome you to learn from the events of Poland over the last 100+ years. I promise you, the were quite interesting and eventful and can shed light on where we can do best to position ourselves for the right direction of humanity.
