I made this video about a Streeter John Deere "D" at a tractor show this fall. Deere built a number of Model D tractors on a street behind its tractor plant in late 1953 because there were still orders for the model after assembly line production had stopped. The Model D was produced from 1923 to 1953, and it had the longest production run of any John Deere tractor. Deere built a number of Ds in late 1953 on a street behind its tractor plant, using John deere D parts the company had in stock.
they had already re-tooled their plant and still had demand for them so thus the Streeter D came along.
