Celebrating Dairy Days in Cuba, N.Y.

Cheese lovers eventually find their way to the Cuba Cheese Shoppe, a fixture in this area for 42 years. Down the street is a year round tribute to cheese-the Cuba Cheese Museum. There are only three cheese museums in the world and this one is the largest. The building also houses Sweet Meredith's Fudgery with a "cheese connection". They make all of their fudge with cream cheese instead of butter. Upstairs is the beautifully restored Palmer Opera House. It was an eight year project that brought this showplace back to life. It was accomplished by an all volunteer group called Cuba Friends Of Architecture. This will be a busy place Friday & Saturday as they kick off Cuba Dairy Days.
