The First Japanese — The Paleolithic Period in Japan
The history of Japan was once thought to have begun with the Jomon Period until new discoveries revealed that Japan was inhabited by people even longer than had previously been thought. In this video, we look at the creation of Japan through its mythology, the changing geography of Japan and possible, undiscovered people who may have lived there, and the first confirmed humans to reside in Japan: The Minatogawans. We follow their lives until a new arrival into Japan, the Ancient North Siberian Yana people, lead to a new status quo from which the Jomon would rise. This is a history of the Paleolithic Period of Japan.
