DNA, Information, and Design

Joel Mohrmann gives a presentation entitled "DNA, Information, and Design" where he explores whether or not life contains the fingerprints of design. Specifically, he argues that the information contained in DNA is such an indicator of design. For anything to be considered information, it must be both specified and complex. DNA fits both of those criteria and thus qualifies as meaningful information. Since, in our experience, information is only known to originate from intelligence, it is reasonable to then infer that DNA similarly originated from intelligence. The presence of meaningful information in DNA is thus compelling evidence that life was indeed designed.
