Recorded on 11/8/24. With the family being out after work, I needed something to do. I ventured out over to Darien Station in Connecticut for the PM rush hour to catch the Danbury diesel trains as well as the new peak hour Shore Line East service that originates out of Stamford on weekdays. I was originally going to only do railfanning at Darien. However, with the timing of my family coming back from their event, I noticed how the timing could work out to catch the Friday only diesel deadhead out of Southeast Yard. I would be passing Katonah Station on my way home, so I decided the stop was worth it with the timing of everything. So this situation ended up making this video a mega railfanning video. It was still a great day out! I don't think I have caught so many diesel trains on the Metro North Railroad outside of the Hudson Line until this trip. It was well worth it! Enjoy!
