Trump Won!! God Parted the Waters. Now What?

We are familiar with the parting of the Red Sea when the Israelites were escaping from the Egyptians, but there was another parting of the waters in the bible. When Joshua lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, the Jordan River presented an obstacle as it was at flood stage as we read in Joshua 3:15-16. God parted the river so the over 2 million Israelites could enter the land He promised in a covenant with their forefather, Abraham.

With Trump's victory, God has parted the waters for us to cross over and reclaim the country which our founding fathers dedicated to God in a covenant and to show His mighty hand.
We read in Joshua 4:23-24,

“For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”

After Joshua and the Israelites entered the Promised Land, they had many battles to fight before they could settle in the land and live prosperously starting with the battle of Jericho in Joshua 6.

The same applies to us. God has answered our prayers and parted the waters with the victory of Trump and with obtaining the Senate... and we pray that the House will be obtained too. However, there are still battles to fight before we can fully reclaim America and reestablish the Godly values it was founded on. We can enter these battles with confidence because God goes ahead of us to deliver the victory as He did with Joshua as we read in Joshua 3:10.

Just because God led the battle, Joshua and his army didn't stay home. They followed God's lead, donned their weapons and fought the good fight to conquer the land.

We must do the same. God gave us ground and it's our job to keep that ground and battle to gain more ground in the name of Jesus and for the purposes of God. No one has the luxury of sitting these last days out.

For too long, we Christians sat on our hands allowing darkness to creep into America. It crept into our schools, entertainment, workplace, families and even our churches. God warned the Israelites in Deuteronomy 7 to not allow the pagan civilizations to exist, but they repeatedly allowed it and these civilizations drew them away from God...just as the darkness drew America away from God.

We have not yet conquered the land back from darkness just because Trump won the Presidency. This is not the time to sit on our hands once again. This is not the time to stay home from the fight. There is much darkness to battle. We read in Ephesians 6:12,

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

We must not give the devil a foothold as Apostle Paul teaches us in Ephesians 4:27. Instead, we must “fight the good fight” as we read in I Timothy 6:12.

God will be with us in battle just as He was with Joshua as we read in Joshua 1:9,
 
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

As our battle continues, we must put on the armor of God and overcome evil with good. We must overcome evil with the light of Christ shining through us. We must overcome evil with prayer and with the Word of God which is the sword of the Spirit.

In addition, we must share the peace, love, and truth of Christ. We must share Christ with those searching for peace, searching for healing, and searching for answers. We must share Christ with those who are afraid, hurting, angry, depressed, lonely, or puzzled about this life. We must share that Christ is the way, the truth and the life.

With the help of God, we can guide and lead one person at a time to Him...with each person becoming a NEW light in Christ. We just experienced the "Red Wave" across America through this election. Let us now start the "God Wave" across America as we reclaim the land from darkness. As Rabbi Moshe Davis taught,

“A candle is a small thing. But one candle can light another. And see how its own light increases, as a candle gives its flame to the other. You are such a light.”

The more NEW candles that are lit, the brighter America becomes and returns to being that “city set upon a hill that cannot be hidden”. (Matthew 5:14-16)

As we praise God for hearing our prayers and having mercy on America with Trump’s victory, let us enter through the parted waters and continue the battle against darkness as we shine our light and share our light to make a way for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
