Prophets and Prophecy 2 - Sit Before the Lord as Seattle Crumbles

Consulting God is an important part of Christian life. Our hearts must be tuned to His will when we sit before the Lord and ask for wisdom. Do not bring the idols in our hearts to Him. Shameful and accursed is the prophet who speaks when he is not sent and speaks to appease those of abominable intent. Cleanse your life from idols. Cleanse the high places and throw down the idols. Whatever remains bring before God regularly. The prophet who speaks this way of himself will bear responsibility and punishment in addition to the seekers who have sought prophecy to support their belief in their abominations and idols. You good Christians are not like that. You are lovely and winsome because you repent and believe. You seek a prophetic word to support the purposes of God. But to the sinner who seeks out a prophet or false prophet for his own self serving purposes God will answer their own abominations upon their heads so that God may grab a hold of their heart.

Let the Holy Spirit examine your life and surrender to it. Find where your idols and sins lie. Look at the sign in your lives. We often seek for signs and wonders but sometimes the signs are right in front of you and they are not good. They are there as a warning to you but you may not have eyes to see and ears to hear. Like a good parent, God may forgive you and you are sinless before the throne when you die but the punishments and test that he puts in your way may be a sign to you of your own lack of repentance or your own continued sinfulness. God tests and chastises whom He loves, just like a good parent.

Cleanse you life. Get rid of all things that distract you from daily worship and praise of God. Move things and idols and stumbling blocks out of your way; cleanse your high places; so that you can sit and reason before God day after day. Give up your identities. Give up the old man as menstrual rags and leave them at the foot of the cross so that Christ your prophet, high priest and king is free to define you.

Repentance and belief is key to revival in Hoquiam, revival in the United States, revival in Asia, indeed revival all around the earth. Repentance and belief is the proper posture for a Christian in these end times. Your prepper strategy is on your knees before Jesus.
