What's changed in the year since Otto Warmbier's return

The circumstances behind Otto Warmbier's coma and death are mysterious, but the facts are these: Warmbier, a college student convicted of attempting to steal a propaganda poster in North Korea, lost consciousness in prison and never regained it. He was comatose when he returned to Cincinnati a year later. He was comatose when he died. In the year since that day, the United States' relationship with North Korea has vacillated wildly from its two leaders exchanging nuclear threats to the pair shaking hands in Singapore. Warmbier's memory hung over it all.
