Easy Etouffee Recipe You've Never Had - A Family Favorite

If you're trying to figure out a new meal to add to your household's rotation, this super simple shrimp étouffée is a massive hit, and is quick to make, too! It doesn't take much to make a classic Cajun dish that you and your family will love. This is an ultimate recipe if you and your family love southern comfort seafood. This dish is a favorite at our house, and we know it will be at yours, too.

Shrimp Étouffée:
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1/2 green pepper
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 12 frozen puff pastry shells
Directions:
1. Sauté shrimp in butter for 5 minutes
2. Move shrimp to a bowl and set aside.
3. Place frozen puff pastry shells in oven (takes about 20 minutes to cook)
4. In remaining juice & butter, sauté onions, peppers, celery, garlic, and mushrooms
5. Season shrimp with Worcestershire, salt, pepper, garlic salt, red pepper
6. Add seasoned shrimp and mushroom soup to vegetables, combine and cook 15 minutes uncovered on medium heat.
Serve Étouffée over puff pastry shells, enjoy!
