Difference between Compass Motor and Virus Magnet Boat Illustrated with Slow Speed

The point here is that for a compass to make linear thrust it has to turn a mass towards the north. (A compass/magnet is not a force couple. In the north the north end of the magnet has more force.) That is exactly what the Virus Magnet Boat does but not at all what a Compass Magnet Motor does.
