Some San Juan County residents forced to evacuate 416 Fire can return home Wednesday

A wildfire that started on Buffalo Mountain near Silverthorne Tuesday morning grew quickly, forcing more than 1,300 homes to be evacuated Some people who were forced to evacuate their homes in San Juan County because of the 416 Fire will be allowed to return home starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday but will remain on pre-evacuation notice. But those in La Plata County who have been forced to leave their homes will have to stay away.
