Keyshawn Davis Confirms: I'm Staying At 135 Until Tank Fights Me

In a recent interview with Cigar Talk, Keyshawn Davis says he’s going to stay at lightweight until Gervonta Davis agrees to fight him. Keyshawn (11-0, 7 KOs) thinks Tank Davis is hoping he’ll move up to 140 so he can say he’s too big and doesn’t have to fight him.

Keyshawn wants to fight the best in the division. Currently, Keyshawn isn't ranked with the World Boxing Association at the moment. Tank, being the WBA Champ, isn't obligated to fight Keyshawn.

However, Tank and every other top fighter in the Lightweight division should want to fight each other. There should be no reason why the young champions in the lightweight division should not be willing to fight each other.

Keyshawn has a fight coming up this weekend in his hometown against Gustavo Lemos. Gustavo is a tough fighter from Argentina. He gave Richardson Hitchins hell back in April in an IBF eliminator.

Some fans felt that he beat Hitchins. But as it relates to Gervonta Tank Davis, I seriously doubt Tank will fight Keyshawn because Tank doesn't have to.

Keyshawn has 11 fights and not enough pro experience. By the way Tank is being moved by his handlers, I sure they will continue to move the way they've been moving Tank.

As it relates to Keyshawn. There's a lot of fighters at Top Rank he can fight. Abdullah Mason, Alan Garcia, Emiliano Vargas, and George Kambosos are all Top Rank fighters Keyshawn can fight.
