Storm Shield Forecast morning update 6/12/18

Bakersfield will jump to a high of 99 this afternoon with air quality that is getting worse. It's now in the moderate range at 97 on the index, just a few points away from being unhealthy for sensitive groups. The rest of the county is warming as well with the upper 90s across the valley, a high of 97 in Lake Isabella, 88 in Tehachapi and 87 in Frazier Park. The hottest cities are down in the desert obviously, where Ridgecrest will top out at 105 and California City looks to peak at 106.
