Israel's 'Smart Shooter'

The UK’s armed forces are now using Israeli rifle technology that was tested in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli company, Smartshooter producing precision targeting equipment and has been battle tested on Palestinians since 2018. While the British army says its soldiers will be equipped with the new technology that attaches to assault rifles and reportedly “turns every soldier into a sniper” for the purpose of shooting down drones, it has also been admitted that it is used for ground targets too. The Israeli company was able to market this technology in September arms exhibition that was sponsored by the British Ministry of Defence (MoD). Another one of Smartshooter’s products, that was deployed at checkpoints in the West Bank and mounted on military vehicles, was an AI powered automatic weapon used for “crowd control”.
