Is the New Burning Man Festival in Thailand?

Mark Phinney, inspired by the spirit of Burning Man, created Panan Man, a festival on the Thai island of Koh Phangan, which combines art, music, and personal transformation. Like Burning Man in the U.S., it embraces communal creativity, with participants contributing to the experience. Phinney, who first attended Burning Man in 2003, brought the concept to Koh Phangan to fill a void he saw for such an event on the island. The festival offers a retreat-like atmosphere, blending spiritual healing and artistic expression, with Phinney seen as a guru-like figure leading this unique fusion of culture and self-exploration.
