Dealing With Squatters!

Squatters! I'm seeing a ton of media focus about people moving into vacant properties and then being protected by Squatter Rights Laws 😲

Its TRUE... Dealing with squaters is definitely a part of the real estate game. We have had to deal with a lot.

I've seen some sad stuff. One time we had a family move into one of our vacant properties and they were burning trash in the fireplace to stay warm. There were no utilities on so they were using buckets for a restroom. They had 5 kids... 2 in diapers. Very Sad 😔

As much as I would love to provide housing for a family like this and help them.. Allowing them to squat in a house is NOT the way to help them. They need to be in a safer environment with proper amenities and basic living standards.

We were easily able to get these particular squatters out because we invest in properties located in places that would be considered more landlord friendly rather than tenant or squatter friendly.
