Former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump addressed supporters from his campaign headquarters in Palm Beach, Fl., in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Republicans were projected to win control of the U.S. Senate for the first time in four years in Tuesday’s U.S. elections, after the party flipped two seats previously held by Democrats.

It remained too early to determine which party will control the U.S. House of Representatives, where Republicans currently hold a narrow majority.

Meanwhile, Trump seems poised to become the nation's 47th President as votes continue to be counted in several key battleground states, and the path to victory for current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris narrows.
