Summary
In this episode of the Break From The Grind podcast, Jason and Mindy explore the theme of judgment in relation to people's homes. They discuss how quickly we form opinions about others based on their living spaces and the implications of these judgments on friendships and social interactions. The conversation shifts to the importance of kindness and understanding when visiting others' homes, emphasizing that a messy home may reflect deeper personal issues. They also touch on the significance of shared experiences with loved ones, particularly in the context of travel, highlighting that the company we keep is often more important than the destination itself.

The average person takes just 38 seconds to judge your home — and they will notice if you have vacuumed, if your windows are dirty, and if there is a ‘funny smell’.
Do you judge other peoples homes?
Tips for minding your own damn business
Ease up on this type of judgement. Obviously if the house is a complete wreck, get through the dinner or whatever you are there for, don’t go back again in the future if it really bothers you. But don’t talk badly about the way people choose to live their live. You don’t know their circumstances.
2) Never say anything about the condition of their home if it is a mess. It is just plain rude. Find something that you do like and say something nice about it, don’t point out the flaws.
3) It best to just focus on enjoying your friends, appreciate the fact that they invited you over and that they are okay with you seeing there home. A home is very personal, so even if it is in an imperfect state, they trust you enough to invite you over.
Random Question: You’re given $25,000 and a plane ticket to anywhere – but you have to leave tonight. Where are you going?
