A Trump victory could see Australia ‘wedged’ between US and China

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood explains the last time Donald Trump was president, Australia got “wedged” between the United States and China which could potentially happen again.

“We saw that the last time that Donald Trump was in power, Australia got wedged between the United States and China – so there is a potential danger for Australia,” Mr Greenwood told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“What Donald Trump is proposing is something that hasn’t been used in America since the early 1900s and that is to use tariffs as a form for the government to raise revenue instead of income taxes.”
