The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is the Start of BAD Movies!

The Lord of the Rings being turned into a cinematic universe is a cool idea, until you remember it's 2024 and Hollywood is collapsing. The work of J.R.R. Tolkien is already being scoured by Amazon with Rings of Power, but it's an unique type of pain when it's Warner Bros and the team that did the trilogy coming back to pilfer the tomb.

Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh are working together to make a whole host of Lord of the Rings related projects. Andy Serkis is reprising his role as Gollum in The Hunt For Gollum, as well as Directing it. But that comes after this December's War of the Rohirrim that is a loose adaptation of a great part of the lore, but the keen eyed among us have noticed how this is not going to be the story of Helm Hammerhand, but rather his previously unnamed daughter, Hera.

Promotional material has filled in Hera's back story and it's your generic Girl Boss slop. Based on the dialog in the trailer, she is going to be the best warrior ever and take all the glory of her father, because girls get it done. That screams Tolkien and coincidentally, it also makes Tolkien scream!

Oh, and puppeting the corpse of Sir Christopher Lee's Saruman for a key jangle is beyond disgusting, get ready for that cringe.
