Matching Capital With Opportunities

Greetings. This is Ray Hightower speaking to you from San Diego, California. I'm here for the RaiseMasters retreat, taking a quick morning walk before today's session, and as I think about RaiseMasters, and as I think about capital raising in general, here's what's going through my mind.

Capital raising is about taking capital and putting it with opportunities, matching capital to opportunities. People with capital don't necessarily have opportunities for putting that capital to work, and people with opportunities. That is, entrepreneurs don't necessarily have the capital to make those opportunities grow. We are matching capital with opportunities.

Fundamentally, as capital raisers, we are matching capital with opportunities. I happen to be doing that with multifamily apartments, but there are other capital raisers who are doing that, as venture capitalists, with software companies or with other types of technology companies, battery companies. The list is endless, and it's exciting. It's very exciting, how capitalism enables people with capital to come together with people who have opportunities, and together we do things that that benefit everybody.
