Pumpkin or Sweet Potato Pecan Braid
1 Crescent Sheet rolled to about 8 inches x 14 inches
Pumpkin Filling
3/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree or Mashed Sweet Potatoes
1/3 Cup firmly packed Light Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice*
1 Large Egg, slightly beaten
1/2 - 2/3 Cups Chopped Pecans
1/4- 1/2 Tsp Maple or Vanilla Extract, optional
Brush Dough with egg wash of 1 egg + 1 TBSP Water
Glaze, optional
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 TBSP Milk
1 TBSP Chopped Pecans
*Substitute 1 Tsp Cinnamon + 1/4 Tsp Ginger + 1/4 Tsp Cloves, Nutmeg, or Allspice
