Canada had a major rail strike in August 2024. The issues were the risks to health and safety from over work and wages not meeting the job position. Even though the workers were still on the job, the chief executives decided to lock out the workers. Then the workers had no position left but to strike. An arbitrator ordered the rail workers back to work and the thieving executives won a temporary reprieve.
