Beach Meeting Turns Deadly: Man Assaulted with Hatchet

Alana Cagle, 18, and her boyfriend, Wayne Streeter, 24, were involved in a violent and disturbing assault at Ormond-By-The-Sea. The altercation unfolded when the victim agreed to meet with Cagle on the beach, only to be assaulted when Streeter arrived. According to reports, the situation escalated rapidly as both Cagle and Streeter attacked the victim, with Streeter reportedly wielding a hatchet. After initially consenting to be tied up, the victim reconsidered, at which point Streeter allegedly tackled him, choking him, while Cagle began punching him.

The victim managed to break free from the assault and fled to the nearby road, where he flagged down a passing deputy for help. Authorities found him in critical condition, bleeding from multiple cuts across his abdomen, knees, shins, and back. Following the assault, Cagle and Streeter were apprehended and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Their actions have not only led to serious criminal charges but have also shocked the local community, raising concerns about safety and violent crimes in the area.
