How the State of Tennessee puts in a fire break on my property

I have contracted with the State of Tennessee to install a firebreak and conduct a controlled burn to reduce my forest fire risk. They were very fast, but it's all done now.

Our forest management plan includes putting in a firebreak to aid in controlling any future forest fires. It also calls for the State of Tennessee to do a controlled burn of the forest to reduce the fuel on the forest floor and eliminate some of the invasive species.

Our State Forester reviewed our forest and scheduled the team to bring out their John Deere 650 Bulldozer to put in about 1,400ft of fire break. A fire break is a 10ft wide path without anything combustible on it. Part of our firebreak is an old abandoned road and the driveway we put in. Overall it encircles about 26-30 acres depending on which mapping APP you use.
