Decoding The Running Man (1987) | Foretold DoJ & Hollywood Corruption | Human Hunting

I was surprised to learn how few of people have seen The Running Man from 1987…even among people from my era. Despite it’s campiness the themes this films covers are absolutely relevant to current times…it’s even set in 2017 (or 2019 if you look at the cover art…not sure why there is a discrepancy but I digress)

A film from 1987 foretold the Dept of Justice having a very cozy relationship with Hollywood…as it does today, and frankly did back then…it was just much easier to hide before the internet became a thing. There is a significant passage in the film where a woman who found herself to be a believer in ‘the state’ and its relationship with Hollywood…is confronted with a lie that she directly witnessed as having been involved in it. She sees the news media lie about Ben Richards, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character.

Considering this was produced in 87’ there is a great deal of focus on Digital Video manipulation and changing the actual reality into one that fits a more salacious narrative in order to frame and setup people who don’t follow the orders of the state. In the case of Richards, he was asked to fire upon people trying to get food from a grocery store, unarmed and starving…knowing this was a clear overuse of lethal force, Richards refuses the order. The surveillance footage is digitally altered to completely reverse the public perception about what happened in this event.

Keep in mind…we are now in an era where we should be used to at least a decades worth of digital manipulation yet we still have trained ourselves to believe what we see…despite FaceSwap, despite AI alteration…we aren’t even going back and reviewing things that we should have reviewed more critically…as a whole society I believe we are missing a huge piece of the picture here.

Digital alteration and CGI was being used long before it was known by the public…how many real life Ben Richards were publicly persecuted as a result of these ‘hidden’ methods before people even knew what Digital Video was?

Keep an eye out for appearances from people like Jesse Ventura who plays a retired stalker in The Running Man game. This movie is filled with great campiness as entertainment but it’s also a very relevant film that is worth serious examination if you understand the timeline loops I’ll be presenting in tandem with the film.
