What’s up everybody, today I’m sitting down with JD Emmons, AKA Fitover40dad, and if you’ve never seen the guy, he is surely fit. JD is a sobriety advocate, serial entrepreneur, health and fitness advocate, and probably the least impressive (and I truly mean that as a compliment) Instagram influencer.

Our conversation goes in several directions, many of which I didn’t expect, including the role of family in getting sober, reaching your true potential, and how the world’s most socially accepted drug is largely preprogrammed into people to be normal.

In recent years, depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction have reached all-time highs. And by that, I don’t mean steady increases. I mean records being shattered yearly, if not monthly. Social media, social hysteria about illnesses, and delusional perspectives on health policy by leaders are only exacerbating the problem.

Sobriety for many, like JD, and as you’ll find out, for me as well, is the solution for many.
