Criminal Probe Opens Into Major Voting Systems, Dominion – What Michigan's Sheriff Just Revealed

Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf has announced in a press release that his office has forwarded a case concerning election-related crimes to the Texas Attorney General’s Office. He stated, “The Texas Attorney General has opened a criminal investigation related to Dominion Voting Systems, Election Systems & Software (ES&S), Hart InterCivic, and SolarWinds, including specific subcontractors, agents, and employees.”

The sheriff’s office indicated it would release further information once it would not compromise the investigation. Previously, Leaf posted on X that he was looking into possible “conspiracy crimes, wire services fraud, honest services fraud, and perjury charges” concerning Dominion CEO John Poulos’ sworn testimony before the Michigan Legislature, where Poulos stated that Dominion’s systems were inaccessible from outside networks and asserted that Dominion was a “US-based company.”

In an affidavit, Leaf also claimed that Serbian nationals were allegedly directed by Dominion employees to remotely access Michigan’s election system. He has resisted providing prosecutors with his files on voter fraud, citing concerns about protecting the integrity of his investigation.

Journalist Lara Logan shared the new press release on X, adding that some parts of the investigation have been ongoing for years, describing it as “not pretty.” She remarked, “This is one of those documents that could be easily overlooked — in truth, it is a nuclear bomb.”

It’s unclear why the sheriff from Barry County, Michigan, would refer this case to the Texas Attorney General’s Office. However, Leaf has long pursued election integrity issues as a part of the constitutional sheriffs movement. Since the 2020 election, he has requested court orders to seize voting equipment and sought records to determine if voting machines nationwide could have altered votes from Trump to Biden.

In Barry County, Trump won decisively, though Biden won Michigan overall by a margin of 154,000 votes out of 5.5 million.

Illegal voting concerns have surfaced in Michigan ahead of the election. Michigan prosecutors recently charged a Chinese citizen with perjury and voter fraud after the 19-year-old allegedly cast a ballot for the 2024 presidential election. The man reportedly registered with his university ID and other documents at a polling place in Ann Arbor. Federal investigators are examining the case, though it’s unclear if this was an isolated incident or part of a broader attempt to influence the election. Officials say that because the ballot has already been processed, it cannot be removed from the count.

Additionally, during Michigan’s summer primaries, four individuals allegedly cast ballots twice, and three election workers who facilitated the double voting are now facing felony charges.

Elon Musk recently expressed concerns about Michigan’s voter rolls, claiming, “Michigan has more registered voters than eligible citizens!” Though officials argue his comment was “misleading” because it included inactive records set for removal, Musk countered that they won’t be removed until after the election.
