Jumanji 4 is on the way, and audience anticipation for the next chapter in the pulpy jungle fantasy series couldn't be higher. The previous movie in the franchise, 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level, teased the potential for new installments in its mid-credits scene, and Jumanji 4 will be the next chapter of the rebooted trilogy story, which started in 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The Jumanji sequels moved from a board and dice to virtual reality and videogames, an applauded decision that's expected to continue in the fourth Jumanji movie.
Jumanji 4 is still in the very early stages of development, but all signs point to Sony Pictures being keen to keep this franchise going, with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan all expected to return. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level were blockbusters because of their all-star casts and fun reinvention of the 1990s classic. Both movies blend action and comedy with genuine heart, and they did enormously well at the box office, ensuring Jumanji 4 was never off the table.
