Trump Just Dropped Big News That’s Going to Make Homeschooling Take Off

He announced that he will do “everything [he] can to support parents who make the courageous choice of homeschool.”

In his next term, Trump says he will “immediately fight to allow homeschool parents the same incredible benefit” that private school parents received under his tax cuts: the ability to use “529 education savings accounts to spend up to $10,000 a year, tax-free on tuition for grades K through 12.”

He explained that while this was a “tremendous win for school choice,” it currently excludes homeschoolers.

To fix that, Trump promises that homeschooling families will have access to “$10,000 a year per child, completely tax free, to spend on costs associated with homeschool education.”

He also vowed to level the playing field for extracurriculars, saying he’ll ensure “every homeschool family is entitled to full access to the benefits available to non-homeschool students, including participating in athletic programs, clubs, after-school activities, educational trips, and more.”.

“I will be your champion” Trump promised, urging homeschooling parents and aspiring homeschool parents to “not vote Democrat” because “they are looking to destroy you.”
