North Korea test fires intercontinental ballistic missile

North Korea test-fired an upgraded intercontinental ballistic missile.
The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, said it was “an appropriate military action” after Pyongyang’s rivals “intentionally escalated the regional situation”.
North Korea has vowed to back Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “until victory day”, accusing the United States and South Korea of plotting a nuclear strike against it.
Choe Son-hui, North Korea’s foreign minister, made the promise of support during a meeting in Moscow on Friday with her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, amid a growing alliance between the two countries and reports of North Korean troops preparing to enter the war in Ukraine on the Russian side.
