What's Behind Kid Austin's Questionable Fight Choice vs Rene Giron?

Floyd Schofield returns to the ring tomorrow night against Rene Tellez Giron on DAZN. This is the second time Kid Austin has fought since having testicular surgery earlier this year.

Kid Austin is a -1400 favorite against +700 Rene Giron from Mexico. Kid Austin has a lot of flaws in his game that haven't been exploited yet in the ring. But, he's a strong, athletic fighter moving up through the ranks.

Everyone I've met loves Kid Austin because he's a humble, well-mannered young man. But they hate his father Mama Hofield. Why? Because he acts like a b**ch!

Oscar Dela Hoya and Bernard Hopkins say Kid Austin is a star in the making. Mama Hofield says Kid Austin's next fight will be for the WBA title that's currently held by Gervonta Tank Davis.

Can Oscar Dela Hoya make Kid Austin the next big star in the sport of boxing? I doubt it. Golden Boy has a history of matching their fighters up with tomato cans.
