Kong-rey was the most remarkable storm to hit Taiwan in 28 years, said Quality Huang, a forecaster with the island's Focal Climate Organization. The tempest moved toward the island with greatest supported breezes of around 109 miles each hour, identical to those of a solid Classification 2 tropical storm, as per the U.S. Naval force's Joint Hurricane Cautioning Center.
