In this video Mr America/Natural Mr Universe & Personal Trainer John Heart addresses the subject that so many trainees want to avoid...using HEAVY WEIGHT to build muscle! While John is known for being trained by Mr Heavy Duty Training Mike Mentzer, it assumes that there's a difference between training with heavy or light weights. High intensity training how Dorian Yates recommended correctly focuses on intensity of effort being the most important factor in muscle building programs to muscle up, but in translation many forget about how much weight is being used within a given rep range. Golden era bodybuilders followed the lead of Mr Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger and trained with high volume training. Ronnie Coleman also trained with higher volume, but he used heavy weight!
