The Best Meatball Sandwich I've ever eaten! Yes, Those are chicken meatballs!
My wife was very interested in trying this new meatball idea out so I got to work on coming up with a recipe for the Chicken meatball sub sandwich. I started with my normal beef meatball recipe and quickly learned that chicken needs a very different recipe. After about 4 tries I found the perfect balance of flavor and texture. This is my perfected Chicken Meatball Recipe for the whole world to enjoy!
Chicken Meatball sub Recipe
Chicken Meatball Recipe:
1lb. Ground Chicken
1/4 cup Finely Grated Onion
2 cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped
2 tbsp Bread Crumbs
1 tbsp Milk
1 egg
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
1/4 tsp Dried Oregano
1/4 tsp Dried Basil
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 tsp Salt
Pinch of Black Pepper
Mix will to combine and roll into about 7-8 meatballs Fry them in about 1 tbsp of Olive Oil for roughly 8 minutes over medium heat. Turn several times to ensure all side get browned. Braise on a quart of Marinara Sauce on low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Remove from heat and let rest for at least 10 minutes.
