Today, on Day 263, I reflect on addiction, thinking about the differences between men's and women's experiences with it. Though I can't speak from a woman's perspective, I've seen unique struggles that women face in addiction, especially in Sweden. I remember Deborah Spungen's book, And I Don't Want to Live This Life, and its impact on me. It got me thinking of Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)" and how it perfectly captures that need to numb pain. Tove Lo's raw emotion really hits home, reminding us how music can resonate deeply with our own journeys.
