Action Radio 10/30/24, The Myth That Congress / Feds Control Time Zones.

Florida passed permanent Daylight Savings Time. It was signed by Governor DeSantis. Yet we are still switching our various time pieces back an hour this Saturday. Why? Because the federal government says so, and the States can't just set their own time between Daylight Savings and Standard. But is that really true?

No! And I can prove it. So once again this comes down to a misunderstanding of the Constitution, resulting in an illegal usurpation of power by Congress and the DOT. No surprise there. Part of the proof is that Arizona and Hawaii remain on Standard Time year round. Arizona is surrounded by States on Pacific and Mountain Time. Oh no! Doesn't that cause a crisis? Well apparently not, especially in the age of automatically changing timing devices.
