Kitchen Window Trim from Scrap Wood
37
Today we are working in our 2001 Fleetwood mobile home converting used wall studs into window trim. When we took out walls during the demo we removed a lot of studs that were 1x3. I prefer 2x4 for all walls, even in a mobile home, so these 1x3 studs were not useful in rebuilding the walls, leaving us with a pile of wood that should be reused. This pile of wood got lightly sanded, oiled, and converted to trim. We leave the wood with its natural color and save $100 on paint by only using Tung Oil.
