In a post on X, Firewalk Studios, the developer behind the Sony hero shooter Concord, closed down after the game lost reportedly $400 million dollars for their parent company.

Famously the live game was taken down after around two weeks due to the low player count. Steam numbers show it peaked at just over 600 people playing the game. There are many reasons why the game failed with those online pointing to the DEI present within the game. Game journalists pointed to poor quality of the game which is the result of DEI practices at the company. Anyway you slice it Firewalk Studios failed because they did not prioritize quality.
