I read this book this summer
“Gift from the Sea” by Anne Lindbergh
It was on my mothers-in-law’s night stand
It was the last thing she was reading before he got sick & passes away.

“There is no pattern here for permanent return, only for refreshment”.

I will be the first to admit I don’t like change.
But I am also old enough to know that change is inevitable.
We must learn how to deal with, walk through, & handle change.
Not only must we learn to respond rather than react.
We must also have a mindset or way of thinking to see it as a challenge, opportunity, or adventure.
Find a word that shifts you from negative frustration to positive anticipation.
The more practice the easier it will get.

So how are you doing with change in your life?
I have had lots of practice with 3 major changes in my life this past year…

Moving
Parents passing away
Becoming an empty nestor

But in each there has been a GEM…

Excepting that I am on a new adventure
This book
The challenge to find new ways to connect

Life may not live out how we expected
It may just be what we need!
