Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. For us, this means, "do we have faith in God or a religious system?" Is our heart a "house of prayer" or a "den of thieves?" Jesus will curse religion to never bear fruit. In a season of darkness, we must make a decision; to have faith in God and overcome this religious spirit or succumb to it and carry the fate of never having fruit for the sake of looking good.
