Aberdeen 80s Team of the Decade

Within the first four months of 1980, they had broken the 15-year Old Firm stranglehold on the league championship and in doing so secured the first trophy of the eighties for the Aberdeen boardroom.

Within four years they were the holders of the European Cup Winners Cup and Super Cup.

Within ten years they had won 11 major trophies.

How fitting it was, therefore, to go out of the decade in style by winning the Skol Cup - the last trophy of the eighties. This is their story, told by those who put Pittodrie on the European Football map.
