Robert Downey Jr Refuses to Lend His Likeness to AI | Disney Thinks Differently

Robert Downey Jr. came out in a recent interview where he said he refuses to let movie studios replicate his likeness through the use of AI.

Given the context of his statement the Iron Man actor known for his run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, is likely referring to any digital replication of his image and not just AI specifically. Robert Downey Jr. even went so far as to say his legal teams will continue to fight on this issue even after he’s dead. However, Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, have already made statements in recent days saying they will embrace the use of AI in their movies. Disney CEO Bob Iger said they don’t want to limit the tools they’ll use for the job.
