While lobster fishing and cutting peat in his native Donegal, Packie Bonner used to dream of playing football for Ireland. When Jock Stein completed his last signing for Celtic, a gangly amiable Irish lad stepped into the big time.

Packie Bonner has since played more than 500 times for the Parkhead side - a record for a Celtic goalkeeper. His international dream was realised a decade ago, and now his half-century of caps make him Irelands most capped keeper of all time.

Packie retraces the steps of his childhood, takes us through his league and cup successes with Celtic, and relives the 1988 European Championship and 1990 World Cup finals with unforgettable footage.

Filmed in Donegal and Glasgow, the Packie Bonner story features exclusive highlights of his testimonial dinner and testimonial match, as well as interviews with Jack Charlton, Liam Brady, Celtic stars, and the man himself, Packie Bonner.
