Farscape - 2x01 - Mind The Baby - Sc-Fi Channel Promo Re-Creation

This is a re-creation of the Sci-Fi Channel 30 sec Promo for Farscape episode 2x01, Mind The Baby. This is actually the second episode in production order for Season 2, an episode titled Re:Union (re-titled later as Dream A Little Dream) was originally suppose to be the first episode of Season 2. The Sci-Fi Channel thought that Re:Union didn't work well with the previous season's cliff-hanger, so it was decided to have "Mind The Baby" take it's air date place in the lineup.

I decided it's time to revive these once lost promos. Each promo is re-created using shot for shot what the Sci-Fi Channel used in their promotional clips during commercial breaks.

All graphics are reconstructed (as best as possible) either from scratch or poor-hancing actual footage. Audio is directly from the pre-recorded Sci-Fi Channel promo.

Years of sitting in a storage tote has saved my VHS as best as possible, slight hissing had to be removed in post and a few audio levels raised. The audio still has a bit of a muffle sound to it. The recording for the original promo was taken back in March of 2000, VHS degradation is a real thing.

The aired episode vs the promo audio was different even back during the first airing of the promo. It sounds like Pilot says "Moya is returning to the asteroid field where _he_ saw Talyn". This audio was replaced when the episode aired "Moya is returning to the asteroid field where _she_ last saw Talyn". Other audio changes were done between the airing of the promo and episode. The first time I recall something like this happening was during the episode DNA Mad Scientist. After the promo aired the audio was ADR'ed before the episode aired. On the vhs I recorded DNA Mad Scientist, Namtar's voice is different than that of the promo.

I wasn't going to attempt to re-create Season 2's promo's, but a few people asked. Let's say this is a trial run. If it gets over 100 views over the course of the next 7 days, I may consider continuing. I've noticed that the thumbnails which show "aliens" seem to get viewed the most.
