Hail Mary Pass Heard Around the World ! - Weekend Update - Oct 28th 2024

Sports Guyz are joined by friend of the podcast, Brad Moore, who gives us an update on his son who is kicker for Appalachian State University, and then he helps us review another wild weekend in sports.

The Sports Guyz discussion leads off with the NFL and all the big games and story lines making headlines this past weekend, including the biggest Hail Mary Pass in a long time and a big win by the Commanders over the Bears, as well as the upset of the Ravens by the Browns.  Sports Guyz take a look at the rankings of the top 10 rookie wide receivers in the NFL, and then we go over all the of the productive tight ends in pro football and their success on "National Tight End Day" and then we transition into discussion of another crazy weekend in college football.  We review the victory by Texas A&M over LSU to shake up the SEC, and some of the other big games and their ramifications on the top 25 rankings and playoff implications.

Next we take a look at the Major League Baseball World Series matchup between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the Dodgers leading the series 2-0 and the Yankees needing a win to make it a series.  This World Series has major stars on both teams has made this series a great one to watch.  Sports Guyz also take a look at the Major League Soccer (MLS) playoffs which are underway, with all the top seeds winning in their opening round series so far.
