Chicken shawrma

Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish made of thinly sliced meat, usually chicken, lamb, beef, or sometimes a mix, that’s marinated in a blend of spices like garlic, cumin, turmeric, paprika, and cardamom. The meat is stacked in layers on a vertical rotisserie and slowly roasted, which keeps it juicy and flavorful. When serving, the outer, crispy layers are shaved off and typically wrapped in a warm pita or flatbread, filled with fresh ingredients like tomatoes, onions, pickles, and often topped with tahini or garlic sauce.
