Honda Space-Hub Concept EV Revealed

The Space-Hub concept, part of Honda's newly debuted "Honda 0" EV series, represents a significant leap in electric vehicle design and technology. Emphasizing aerodynamics and battery efficiency, these vehicles draw from Honda's extensive motorsport experience, including Formula 1 racing. Advanced aerodynamic technologies are expected to set a new performance standard for EVs.

The Space-Hub was developed under the theme of “augmenting people's daily lives.” Realizing a spacious cabin and excellent visibility based on the “Thin, Light, and Wise” development approach, the Space-Hub offers a flexible space that immediately accommodates a variety of passengers and becomes a “hub” that connects people to each other and the outside world.

Key features include the use of e-Axles for improved power and efficiency in a lightweight package, and a high-density battery that promises ample range while minimizing size. To address concerns over charging time and battery degradation, the Honda 0 Series aims to offer fast-charging capabilities (15% to 80% in approximately 10-15 minutes) and a battery system that minimizes capacity degradation (less than 10% after 10 years).

The Space-Hub concept embodies Honda's "man maximum, machine minimum" design philosophy, optimizing interior space for users while minimizing the space required for mechanical components. This approach aligns with Honda's longstanding dedication to efficient and user-centric vehicle design.
